The Beginning

A Quest for Healing

After being involved in a serious car accident, Steve found himself in a knee brace with eight broken ribs and a head injury. Frustrated with his forecast length of recovery, he began researching foods known for their healing properties and added some suggested by his partner, Melissa. Long-time fans of veggie burgers, they had both grown tired of the over-processed ingredients, soy and pea proteins found in the typical offerings at the stores. Slowly they developed a recipe utilizing many of the researched ingredients, sharing their prototypes at friend's cookouts and camping trips, until they arrived at a recipe that pleased them both. Adding the burgers to his diet began having positive effects on his healing, with his doctors commenting on his accelerated progress and cutting his time in the knee brace in half! Encouraged by his results, Steve and Melissa decided to try selling their Beet Burgers to the local populace at area Farmers Markets.
